Cycling around central Tibet provides you with an excellent chance to enjoy the peaceful environment. Your journey begins in Lhasa, the capital, where you’ll explore historic sites like the Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple. Pedal your way to Ganden, a serene monastery perched on a hill, offering panoramic views of the surrounding valleys.

On the way to Namtso, you’ll experience the daily life of local Nomads people. Every year from May to August, local Nomads come to Changtang Grassland to set up their tents as home. You’ll find lush green grasses, herds of sheep and yaks, and nomad tents dotted on the prairie.

Namtso is called the Heavenly Lake, one of the three holy lakes in Tibet and also the highest salt lake. To spend a night at the lakeshore is fabulous. The night sky is so clear that you’ll have a chance to see the Milky Way and watch the twinkling stars shining in the sky.

Moreover, riding a bike to Lhoka along the Lhasa River and the amazing Brahmaputra River, also known as the great Yarlong Tsangpo River, is fantastic.

This cycling tour involves the vast Changtang Grassland, the holy lake Namtso, and the hot spring on the plateau Yangpachen, the cradle land of Tibetan civilization Yarlung Valley. This meticulously crafted biking tour will take you on a mesmerizing journey offering a dynamic and immersive experience, a perfect choice for people who want to explore Tibetan culture deeply by bike.
