At the beginning of this tour, you will first see traditional Sichuan opera. We cannot talk about face-changing without mentioning Sichuan Opera. Sichuan Opera is one of many local operas in China, popular in the provinces of Sichuan, Yunnan, and Guizhou. Face-changing is not simply changing one’s facial makeup in a casual way but is a special technique in the performance of Sichuan Opera. It refers to the changing of masks in quick succession to show the different emotions and feelings of the characters in the play.
When we talk about latitude 30 degrees north, off the top of our heads we will think about Egyptian Pyramids, the Bermuda Triangle, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, and Mayan Ruins. But in China, we also have a road construction wonder which is located at latitude 30 degrees, which is not only known for its dangerous and difficult conditions but the beautiful views all around the way. Now you can take part in the tour to explore it. Along the G317/318 highway to Tibet, splendid views are keeping your eyes busy all the way. Another highlight of the tour is at the end, we will unveil the mysteries of Mt. Everest.
This is an epic journey where you’ll traverse diverse terrains and experience the awe-inspiring beauty of western China. Starting from Chengdu, you’ll follow the renowned G318 National Highway, meandering through lush valleys, charming towns, and pristine lakes. As you approach Nyingchi in Tibet, you’ll be greeted by breathtaking landscapes, including the stunning Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon.
Continuing towards the majestic Mount Everest, you’ll be treated to panoramic vistas of snow-capped peaks, alpine meadows, and quaint Tibetan settlements. The journey provides a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in local cultures, as you interact with the warm-hearted people living along the route.
Experiencing all of those might change your attitude toward your life. It looks like you are in a picture of snow-capped mountains reaching to the sky, and fields of long grass covering the earth, breathing the fresh air from the forest, at each moment, you will feel the world is frozen.
