China’s global interactions are rising in the post-pandemic era, fostering closer ties with countries worldwide. To enhance international friends’ travel, living, and working experience in China, I propose several recommendations based on feedback from diverse sources, including friends and our customers from various countries.

🔑 Visa Policies:
Let’s consider gradually reverting to the pre-pandemic visa-free entry policy, allowing stays of up to 15 days. Additionally, implementing unilateral visa-free policies for a broader range of countries, streamlining visa application procedures, and reducing fees can significantly enhance the entry experience for overseas tourists.

🛫 International Flights:
Actively promoting the comprehensive recovery of international flights is crucial. Opening more international routes, regulating the aviation market, and ensuring fair and affordable ticket prices will contribute to a seamless and accessible air transportation system.

📲 Social Media Apps:
Developing policies that permit foreign visitors to use international social networks and communication tools such as Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, etc., while adhering to Chinese laws, is essential. Offering user-friendly VPN services can facilitate access to the global internet.

💳 Electronic Payments:
Streamlining the integration of electronic payment methods like Alipay and WeChat with international credit cards (Visa, Mastercard) is key. Guiding mobile payment usage upon arrival at Chinese airports will enhance convenience.

🚖 Transportation Services:
Optimizing taxi and ride-hailing services by allowing international registration on Chinese ride-hailing apps and promoting multi-language options is crucial. Additionally, offering online reservation services in multiple languages for high-speed trains and tourist attractions is a step towards a more visitor-friendly experience.

Reservation Services:
Facilitating multi-language online reservation services for high-speed trains, tourist attractions, and places requiring reservations is important. Allowing the use of international phone numbers for reservations would further cater to the needs of non-Chinese visitors.

📳 Public Wi-Fi:
Ensuring public Wi-Fi services in locations without phone number verification or offering an alternative login method for visitors from different countries will enable them to access public networks seamlessly.

🍔 Dining and Shopping:
Encouraging businesses to develop multilingual apps that allow international friends to register on Alipay, WeChat, and UnionPay is essential. This move promotes integration into the convenience of Chinese daily life.

🦧 Communication Services:
Simplifying procedures for international tourists to obtain domestic phone numbers and bank cards is crucial. Providing communication services upon entry can help foreign visitors better understand Chinese policies, culture, and lifestyle.

Here, we emphasize the importance of people from different countries integrating into China’s internet services and daily life is crucial. Offering multilingual information services and fostering stronger international connections will create a more inclusive experience. Addressing these challenges and implementing improvements across various aspects will undoubtedly make the experience of overseas visitors in China more convenient and enjoyable.
